Sonatrach’s Visit To Indonesia

On 24th May 2016, Pertamina Internasional EP (PIEP) as the asset manager of Pertamina (Persero) overseas, welcoming the delegation of Sonatrach, state-owned enterprise from Algeria, in Jakarta, Indonesia. The guests are Farid Djettou (Director Executive Association), Houari Hachelaf (President TCM MLN), Taofik Hamdane (Deputy Operation Manager – MLN), and Hamza Morsli (Reservoir Engineer Sonatrach Planning).

The objectives of their visit are to discover more about oil and gas business in Indonesia through presence in The 40th IPA Annual Forum at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) and also knowing the basic role of Pertamina in Indonesia. In the same event, the delegation met President Director of Pertamina (Persero), Dwi Soetjipto, accompanied by President Director of PIEP, Slamet Riadhy.

On the next agenda, the delegation of Sonatrach visited PIEP’s office at Patra Jasa Tower, Jakarta, and representatives from PIEP explaining about achievement during 2016 in Menzel Lejmet North (MLN) field and also the efforts that will be done under current condition of low oil price. PIEP expects sustainable cooperation with Sonatrach.

Furthermore, the delegation paid a visit to Pertamina’s head office and met Corporate Shared Service team, which is they presented their capabilities in Information Technology (IT) and database. On that occasion, delegation of Sonatrach met Operational Director of PDSI, Gandot Werdiantoro, and Operational Director of Elnusa, Bambang Kardono, where they conveyed about preparation of sending rigs and implementation of 3D seismic reprocessing at MLN field. On the weekend, delegation of Sonatrach came to offshore platform, ONWJ. At that moment, the delegation has been given detailed information about Pertamina’s offshore operation in ONWJ and WMO.

Before going back to Algeria, the delegation had sightseeing tour around Jakarta, including enjoying Car Free Day. Sonatrach’s visit to Indonesia was part of ongoing cooperation and both sides hope they can work together continuously and more closely for better outcome in the future.
