Anticipating Global Conflict Impacts: Pertamina and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Strengthen Emergency Response Capabilities Through the Signing of an Agreement for Worker Protection.

YOGYAKARTA - In response to the current global political situation, PT Pertamina Internasional EP (PIEP), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi - Upstream Subholding, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (MOFA RI) have officially signed a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing synergy, coordination, and emergency response capabilities for the protection of overseas workers. During the agenda in Yogyakarta, Jaffee A. Suardin, CEO of PIEP, and Judha Nugraha, Director of Indonesian Citizen Protection at MOFA RI, signed an agreement designed to facilitate cooperation in various aspects, including information exchange, resource mobilization, and training programs. This collaboration aims to strengthen their collective capacities in managing and responding to emergency situations.

Jaffee A. Suardin expressed enthusiasm about this partnership, stating, "Some of PIEP's workforce operates overseas, making the safety and commitment to protecting Indonesian workers abroad a primary focus. With this collaboration, we hope to respond more effectively to any emergency situation, ensuring the safety and well-being of our workers and assets."

The primary objective of this agreement includes enhancing synergy between both parties, particularly during emergency situations, to improve effectiveness in crisis management. The coordinated efforts are expected to align communication and response efforts during emergency situations.

Furthermore, this collaboration is expected to enhance the capacities of both organizations in responding to emergency situations and facilitating better and quicker responses to protect the workforce as human capital, as well as Pertamina's operational assets abroad.
